IHS Names Brian Sweeney Senior Vice President-Global Sales

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IHS (NYSE: IHS), the leading global source of information and analysis, today announced the appointment of Brian Sweeney as senior vice president-global sales. In this newly created role, Sweeney will have full responsibility for IHS global sales strategy, operations and execution for all products and services, managing field sales, inside sales and channel sales across the full breadth of IHS customer relationships.

Sweeney brings 29 years of experience in leading sales organizations to the IHS team. Most recently, he served as vice president-America software & solutions for Hewlett-Packard where he led a team of 1,600 sales professionals responsible for selling, implementing and supporting HP software and services to commercial and government customers in North and Latin America. Sweeney also has served as senior vice president-US commercial federal & legal markets for LexisNexis leading a team of 1,600, along with senior sales leadership positions for Oracle, Siebel Systems and IBM.
