MASS SUICIDE THREAT AT XBOX MANUFACTURER Transcript: "January 12, 2012, There are some disturbing reports coming out of China regarding a mass suicide threat made by approximately 300 desperate manufacturing employees at the Foxconn manufacturing plant in Wuhan, Central China. Alongside Apple, Sony, Nintendo and others, Bill Gate's Microsoft corporation depends heavily on Foxconn and their employees for the production of the Xbox 360. The employee protest and subsequent suicide threat on this occasion related to an unacceptable transfer scheme and a rescinded pay deal -- apparently it took the personal intervention of Wuhan's Mayor to talk them back from the ledge. It has been reported previously that 14 Foxconn employees committed suicide in 2010, having frequently complained of harsh working conditions and discrimination.
