Aluminum Core 5.7x28mm + Glass = Sparks!

I was trying to get a good shot of 5.7x28mm from the FiveSeveN into clay, but apparently at the 30 degree angle I have set for the glass is causing some major bullet deflection. I aimed center of mass on the clay and glass, and the only recovered piece into the clay was part of the jacket. The aluminum core was no where to be found. Looking at the slow mo frame by frame, it almost looks like the core followed the path those sparks created. I may re-create this test wth the standard 45 degree angle for the glass, and move the block up to right behind the glass instead of 18" And they say you can't blow a car up like on TV just by shooting the glass :) Cameras: Iphone 4, and GoPro HD Hero2.
