Basic field stripping of a Chinese Norinco 9mm 1911 sport model. It is a series 70 copy and does not have the firing pin stop safety that newer series 80 1911s do. The Norinco is made of superior hard steel which makes it a favorite donor of slides and frames for custom tuners and gunsmiths. The blued sport model features extended slide stop, extended ambidextrous safety, extended magazine release, beaver tail grip safety, lightened hammer, front and rear slide serrations.
