Norinco NP-29 Detailed Frame Disassembly

Completing a detail frame strip of my Chinese Norinco 9mm 1911 sport model. It is a series 70 copy (which makes for a smoother trigger pull once tuned) and does not have the firing pin stop safety that newer series 80 1911s do. The Norinco is made of superior hard steel which makes it a favorite donor of slides and frames for custom tuners and gunsmiths. The detailed disassembly is almost like a standard 1911, but since this model features an ambi safety, removing it is a little different and can be frustrating for someone who never attempted it before due to the force needed to remove it. The sport model features extended slide stop, extended ambidextrous safety, extended magazine release, beaver tail grip safety, lightened hammer, front and rear slide serrations. Filmed and edited with iPhone 4.
