This is a test of simulated Super 8mm film. It was shot using an iPhone 4, then edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Red Giant Looks, and Red Giant Misfire. Four effects were used from Misfire: simulated film grain, light flicker, vignette, and gate weave. Fast Blur from Adobe Premiere was used to soften the image. The gate mask was made in Photoshop, using a Gaussian Blur to smooth the edges. The video combines stock elements from MediaPreview Ltd for added realism. This stock footage provided the light leak at the beginning; hairs, dust and scratches throughout the video, the bad splice, and the white trailer tape. |
