I will agree that it does not work with any cover that I had on any of my devices. I thought that my Ipad and my 3G iphone (that I am repurposing for music) had very thin covers. Both would not work with the covers on. Cover off and they work fine. So, it works with a 3G iphone, original Ipad, and 4S iphone. Ok, we've put that puppy to bed. Now onto the sound. DISCLAIMER:: I am NOT and audiophile. I don't compare stats, tech specs, etc. I just go by whether it sounds good or not...to me. I have mine in our hearth room which is 20 x 24 and my whole family thinks it sounds very nice (better than our iHome that just quit). Rich tones, good enough bass (for the size of the device) and fills the room nicely. MP3's and Pandora both sound good. I prefer the sound over the xtrememac tango (that has bluetooth though) and small iHome (which I have owned) and Sony solutions. It charges my old phone while it is on the dock (although the position for charging can be a little finicky). The remote works well at approx. 16 - 18 feet. The remote has on/off, volume, next/previous song (I don't think you can change playlists though) and input switching (so you could have one device on the dock and one device connected by the ?3.5mm? plug/cable, that is included in the <b>...</b> |
