*MY TECH BLOG* anonymousinsiders.blogspot.com Apple has just released iOS 5.1. If you have a iPhone 4S or iPad 2 and still want to keep your jailbreak, you might not want to update the software. Who knows when the next jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 comes out. If you look back iPad was released on 2011 and there was only two jailbreaks out for it since it was released. If you have a jailbreaken iPhone 4S or a iPad 2, and you want to get the newest apps, I suggest you trying this out. Open up Cydia Search for "iFile" Install "iFile" Open iFile from your homescreen Go back till you see " on the topbar Once in "/" open System/Library/CoreServices When you are in the CoreServices folder, scroll down to "SystemVersion.plist" Open "SystemVersion.plist" with "Property List Viewer" Open "ProductVersion" Change 5.0.1 to 5.1 Go back to "SystemVersion.plist" and press done Now you have to "Respring" your iPhone or iPad Once your iPhone or iPad has been resprung open up the AppStore and try downloading apps for 5.1. |
