Files needed: Redsnow for OSX: sites.google.com Redsnow for Windows (Run as Administrator): sites.google.com Windows - run in administrator mode! Directions: 1)update device to 5.0.1 via itunes (backup first just incase) -if your already on 5.0.1 then skip this 2)plug device into computer and turn off 3)download redsnow for you operating system 4)click jailbreak 5)click next and follow steps on screen 6)choose install cydia then click next and watch the rest happen WAITING FOR REBOOT ERROR FIX if you have the waiting for reboot errors follow the instructions below (just ads one step) -update to iOS 5.0.1 via itunes (backup first just incase of errors) -if you already have iOS 5.0.1 then you can obviously skip this step -download redsn0w if you dont already have it (links above) -plug your device into the computer and then turn it off -download your 'ipsw' for your specific phone/carrier/OS (download links below) -Click Extras in redsn0w -click custom ipsw -choose the follow pertaining to your phone -click back -click jailbreak -click next and follow steps on screen -if you make a mistake or are too slow, just repeat the on screen steps.
