The iPad 3 will be announced by Apple on the 7th March 2012, 10am EST/1pm PST in the US and 6pm in the UK. The event may be streamed live via Apple's website and you will need a Mac, iPod, iPhone or iPad to watch this. The iPad 3 is rumoured to have the same design as the iPad 2 but may be slightly thicker to accommodate the new screen. Other upgrades will likely include: - Retina display at double the current resolution - New front and rear cameras - Siri integration - Upgraded quad core processor - Improved battery life - 4G although this may not appear until next year The iPad lineup will stay pretty much the same with black and white models, wi-fi/wi-fi + 3G and the same 16/32/64GB capacities. There are also rumours that Apple will keep a low end iPad 2 around at a lower price point. This could be either an 8 or 16GB wi-fi only model.
