NEED IPHONE HELP 3GS 5.0.1 to 4.1

My iphone 3gs has only been showing the apple logo for about 5minutes then it will flicker and show the apple logo again .. it doesnt show the home screen at all ... i tried to put music on it a couple days ago and it locked my phone so that i couldnt have t-mobile on it anymore .. i have tried everything .., now im just frustrated with an iphone that wont even show the slider screen...
