Spring Flood at Cottonwood Falls in the Kootenays

This is a waterfall where I like to spend my lunch. To local Nelsonites, it's simply known as "the waterfall" although its formal name is "Cottonwood Falls" HD Video by www.starbelt.com One can often find hippies strumming guitars, smoking and napping on the boulders and grass in the surrounding park. There's a community garden full of herbs and flowers called the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Sometimes there's a farmer's market overflowing with tasty organic local produce. Today Cottonwood Creek is bursting down its falls flush with water from the spring snowpack melt and rather muddy.. apparently there was a mudslide in the mountains which lent this normally crystal clear creek its chocolate hue.
