After about a week or so I finally got my email from AT&T about unlocking my iPhone 2G. If you don't know how to go about doing this check out the link below. After I got email confirmation all I needed to do next is restore my iPhone and that is all that is needed to unlock your AT&T off contract iPhone for life.
