Fireflies fly freely throughout six beautifully designed environments. Players use a simple touch action to shine an initial burst of light in the forest. As fireflies enter the light, they illuminate with their own light, causing a chain reaction of fireflies lighting up the night sky. Longer chains of fireflies offer more points, which in turn increases the player's overall ranking for the level. Fireflies! features 60 levels of play through six zones. Each zone features beautiful hand-drawn landscapes as well as lush, immersive sounds. Players will encounter six different types of fireflies, each with its own magical properties. Players can also test their skills in Arcade Mode, in which they receive a limited number of light bursts to illuminate as many fireflies as they can. Checkpoints and various bonuses reward players with additional light bursts, but players must use their light bursts wisely to achieve high scores. For those who want to enjoy the game without the pressures of scoring and checkpoints, Zen Mode offers a way to relax and enjoy the night sky as the fireflies float about.
