No long able to SSH – SSH login problems – IKEE virus

If you are no longer able to ssh into your jailbroken idevices (ie: iPod, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV 1,2) which you were able to before ssh any of the following clients; WinSCP, Cyberduck or FileZilla you most likely have the Ikee virus. The Ikee virus among other things changes your shh password so you no longer have root access your device. If you are still able to ssh into your devices I recommend you change your default password. If you are no longer able to do so you are going to have to restore your device then rejailbreak it this time change your ssh password so you no longer can get infected. To change your default ssh password you need to download putty (windows only). Putty is a command line ssh. User name is going to be root and default password is alpine. Once you in type passwd then it will ask you for new password followed by confirm password and you are done. You no longer can be infected by the Ikee virus. putty download link: www.chiark.greenend.org.uk
