Safari does not adapt to how quick I flick my fingers, takes many flickers to get to the bottom of the page while the stock browser on the S2 could get there in 1 or 2 flicks. I also noticed the iphone 4 and S2 when pinching to zoom renders in a similar behaviour; they both pause the rendering until my fingers leave the digitizer. It can be seen until I let go of my fingers, that the text is blurred and is re-rendered after I let go. This idea is good for smooth performance. On the Xperia arc, the text remains sharp no matter what but there is considerable amount of lag which is also not helped by its single core. However on the S2, one can use a browser like Opera to prevent redraws at a performance cost. The android phones are on gingerbread Oh and sorry about the cracked digitizer on the arc, got it for free so not going to complain ;-) . I do not have the iphone 4 anymore. |
