This app was designed for the iPhone and while it works on your iPad it's not optimized for the full HD screen resolution of the iPad. This application is a quick flight planning application with limited function. Meaning, it's a good quick calculator to determine outbound and inbound ground track, heading, distance, groundspeed, fuel flow, fuel burn, estimated time enroute, estimated time of arrival, and your wind speed and direction. Like I said, it's simply and easy to use if you want to quickly calculate the particulars of a flight from point to point without needing a moving map or in-depth weather imagery. Although you can use the application to get your arrival and depart METAR and TAF weather, there is one note that his information is not checked for accuracy so it's for reference only. Each point of departure and airport contains an information page with relevant airport frequencies and a location map, in addition you allowing you the ability to add favorite or frequent airports as quick-access bookmarks for later use. It's quick and simple for a point A to point B for some simple fuel and flight planning calculations. |
