Ever notice how they take great pains to shield and protect us from the conveyor belt radiation, but the AIT scanners are ok to just walk right into or stand next to? Is there such a thing as "safe" radiation? Even TSA head John Pistole isn't fully convinced. He said, ""My strong belief is that those type of machines are still completely safe," Pistole said.
