The Taka split up with the Akatsuki to hunt down the remaining Tailed Beast. At the Land of Lightning they go up against Killer Bee, whose attack utilizing Lightning Style and seven blades proves to be more than a match for them. To make matters worse, Sasuke receives critical injuries from Killer Bee's special attack using the Tailed Beast's chakra.
