Apple and Google Are Talking: Reuters
Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Larry Page have been talking by phone about a “range of intellectual property matters,” according to Reuters, including the Android-spawned dispute that has seen Apple take Google’s biggest Android peddlers to court here there and everywhere as a proxy for Google, a move that culminated last Friday with a California jury awarding Apple a $1.04 billion decision against Samsung for patent infringement.
The verdict may result in a product ban.
It is unclear from the Reuters exclusive how long these conversations have been going on and if there’s any chance of a broad détente.
The companies reportedly have low-level personnel talking too.
