[iOS Advice] How To Create Custom Vibrations For iPhone – iOS 5 / iOS 6

This is iOS Advice. Silent mode is an excellent feature to avoid disturbances in certain situations. The problem with having your iPhone on silent is being able to identify who is calling when it's in your pocket. You can always set custom ringtones for specific contacts, but those won't work in silent mode. Lucky for us, there's a neat feature in iOS to help solve this issue. Check out the video or follow the steps below: Step 1: Go into the Settings app on your device and tap on General. Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the General screen and tap on Accessibility. Then under "Hearing," turn on Custom Vibrations. Step 3: Go to your home screen and open the Phone app. Find a contact you wish to set a custom vibration for and tap on it. Step 4: Press the Edit button in the top right corner, then swipe down to "vibration" and tap on it. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Create New Vibration. Step 5: Begin to tap out your custom vibration pattern, then press Stop. You can now preview your vibration using the Play button, or rerecord it by pressing Record. Step 6: Once you're happy with the vibration pattern, tap on Save in the top right corner. Enter a name for your vibration and press Save again. Tap on Done in the top <b>...</b>
