The panel found that Samsung violated Apple's patents, that the parent company forced its US counterparts to do so, and that this was done willfully and knowingly. The jury ruled that Samsung must pay Apple a little over $1 billion in damages, about half of the over $2 billion that Apple wanted. The sweeping victory wasn't total, as Samsung was found to not violate any of Apple's patents in regards to the iPad and Galaxy Tab. Still, it was basically complete domination for Apple.
