I have noticed that my iPhone, when idle for 30-60 seconds switches from my home wifi network to Verizon's 3G network. This never happened when I was on an unlimited data plan, but since upgrading my phone yesterday and losing unlimited data it has done it every time I lock my screen. I feel like Verizon is manipulating the phone to switch to their 3G network in order to drive up the data use and in turn the cost of my phone bill. I am curious to hear if this is happening to anyone else. I have tested this dozens of times and the result has been the same every time. |
