We run a 4G speed test with the iPhone 5 and compare it with an iPhone 4 on a 3G network side by side. With a slew of new smart-phones coming out this year that are 4G capable we went out into the wild to do a comparison 4G speed test versus the 3G network. We wanted to see if the 4G network is really all it's cracked up to be. We ran the test using the speedtest.net app on both an iPhone 5 using the Telstra (Australia) 4G LTE network and an iPhone 4 using the Optus (Australia) 3G Network (this account was pre-paid). The difference in speeds is huge, can you guess how much faster it is and is the 4G network faster than even your home cable internet connection?
