The scene is manually photographed one frame at a time, and played back at 18 frames per second. Creating Stop Motion Animations is great fun, and a terrific way to get students involved in learning how to be creative and problem solving. Kids love PROJECTS! Inspiring students to be excited about learning to play piano is a very important element in the learning process. To keep children interested in studying music, getting them animated about learning makes all the difference. Kids love projects! Integrating new ideas with ones that kids already know is a great way to get them involved. One of the things we discuss at lessons, is the world of music and how it is part of our lives. Designing a living project to do that, we do Stop Motion Animation. Students create drawings and then choose music to complement their artwork. Sometimes we will record original music for the soundtrack. These projects are a lot of fun and give kids a chance to take on an active role in their own learning. Projects generate creativity skills, and help accelerate learning. Kids have something to look forward to each week, and it motivates them to play piano more, and gives them immediate rewards for their efforts.
