Emerging regions maintained strong momentum, while advanced regions fell short of single-digit growth in Q3 2014
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (January 12, 2015) -- According to DisplaySearch, now part of IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), year-over-year public display shipments grew 16 percent in the third quarter (Q3) of 2014, and LCD public display shipments alone grew 18 percent, while plasma public display shipments were negligible, as many plasma products were phased out. Annual public display shipments began to improve in the second quarter (Q2) of 2014, growing 3 percent in the Q3, which is the market’s highest quarterly growth rate over the past six quarters.
