At the Salvatore mansion, Liv (recurring guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Alaric try to prepare Jo (recurring guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) for the impending merge ceremony with Kai, but they quickly realize Jo is weaker than they thought.
