When Alex (Hank Azaria) learns that his ex-wife is seeing a super-achiever lawyer who is treating his kids to helicopter rides and boat excursions, he enlists the help of Walter (Joe Lo Truglio) to do a little research on the guy. Elsewhere at the office, Stephen (Anthony Head) assigns Helen (Kathryn Hahn) the task of mending the reputation of a young beauty-queen client who has been caught in a scandal and Helen embraces the job as if the girl were her own daughter.
