Mac Monday: Web Browsers

In today's Mac Monday video I take a look at the different web browsers available on the Mac. Safari is the default web browser that comes on all Macs and it provides much better integration with Mac OS X. It also syncs with all your iOS devices via iCloud or iTunes. In my experience Safari is also the fastest browser, but this will depend on your Mac's speed and internet connection. Firefox is a good contender to Safari and the speed has been greatly increased in recent updates. The browser interface is simple and similar in some respects to Safari. It has the ability to import bookmarks from other web browsers too. Firefox doesn't support multi-touch gestures in much the same way that Safari does but this may appear in a future update. Google Chrome is the newest of the three browsers and tends to be the slowest. It does allow you to import bookmarks from other browsers and has basic multi-touch compatibility, but it isn't quite as elegant as Safari. It does have a nice all in one address/search bar and works great with Youtube video uploads which resume if the upload gets interrupted.
