The animated trailer for the hand-drawn iPhone/iPad/Mac game "Gesundheit!". In developing the art style for the game, I wanted to make it feel hand-made and personal, which is quite a challenge in games. To achieve the scratchy, handmade look, I originally drew the characters in black-and-white with ink on plastic board, and then attacked them with a knife in a kind of homemade scratchboard technique. Colours were added digitally, and all the animation was all done using After Effects. With so much work put into the animation, it was an amazing honour to have it nominated for a 2012 Annie Award.
