Jay-Z Starts Venture to Charge Mobile Devices On the Go

Jay-Z Starts Venture to Charge Mobile Devices On the Go - as part of the news series by GeoBeats. Are you constantly worried about your mobile devices running out of power? The rap superstar Jay-Z hears you and wants to help. Duracell and Jay-Z have joined together in an effort to make New York City more wireless friendly. Imagine being able to go into your favorite restaurant or entertainment venue and re-charge your smart phone by just placing it on the table you're seated at. Duracell Powermat is making that concept a reality throughout the Big Apple by installing their 24-Hour Power System's in hotspots such as JFK airport, Madison Square Garden and Jay-Z's own 40/40 Club in Manhattan. With this new charging system, you will see small round disks around the size of a coffee cup installed in tables and as long as you have the Powermat smart phone case, you will be able to charge your phone at the venues participating in what is being dubbed as the Wireless Power Nation campaign. Currently only compatible with iphone, representatives from Duracell have stated that by this fall, other leading smart phones will be supported as well. What are your thoughts on this new service?
