MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2012), MacBook Air (Mid 2013): Distorted or black screen during Windows 7 or 8 installation

When installing Microsoft Windows 8 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2012) using Boot Camp, or when installing Windows 7 on a MacBook Air (Mid 2013), a black or distorted screen may appear during the Windows installation process. This happens because the Windows  installer does not include the necessary drivers for this Mac.
