How to take and edit a screenshot on an iPhone 11 or SE

Whether you just bought your first iPhone or have been using one since the home button clicked, there’s one thing you might not know: how to take a screenshot. But we’re here to help, no matter which model of iPhone you’re using. Here’s how.

iPhone 8 or earlier

If you have an iPhone with a home button, you’ll use that button to take a screenshot. Simply hold down the home button and the power button for a second or two and let go. Your iPhone will flash and make a click noise (if the audio is turned on) and a screenshot will be recorded.

iPhone SE

The iPhone SE has the "old" iPhone design, so it works the same as the iPhone 8. Press the home and the power buttons for a second or two and your screenshot will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen.
